need opinions on my terraforming!

hello! i’ve recently started heavy terraforming on my island and i’ve run into a dilemma regarding the waterfalls leading to redd’s beach. should i keep them simple + unobstructed like on the left or add in the ledges like on the right (so hard to terraform lol!!)? i have flowers there at the moment but i’ve considered putting lighting instead (can’t think of any good 1x1 lighting, already tried nova lights and hyacinth lamps but didn’t like em!) or maybe statues. i’d love your opinions! also, if you know of any sizeable 1x1 lighting or some other cool object to place there, please let me know!

I really like how it looks on the right!! I personally think it adds more flavor It would be cool if you changed the flowers based off of the season or whatever theme you're going for! (like black and orange for halloween)

I currently have something similar constructed where I put pink books on ledges and the 1x1 pink floor lights throughout, and instead of using flowers I used the the pink windflower fans.

I think it is fun to add things to spice up the waterfalls with a theme or flower pattern.

ahh tysm all so much these are great ideas!! the more i look at the right the more i like it haha it’s just a shame how difficult it is to terraform lmao. my flower colors are white, purple, pink and blue so a combination of those on the ledges is what i’m thinking. and i LOVE floor lights so that’s a good idea too!!

There's plenty of good lighting options. Depends on the theme you want to go for.

Streetlamps, floor lights, bamboo shoot lamps, bamboo floor lamp, soft-serve lamp, rocket lamp, palm-tree lamp, mermaid lamp, shell lamp, mush lamp, oil lamp, garden lantern, tall lantern, paper lantern. You could even use fish tanks as a light source.
