Is there anyway to add on top of a design so I can add more colors than that are in the original pallette

Need more colors for designs..

I was wondering if I had another switch which i do but i haven't chose a map yet.. if i could get the design from the other switch and then have a while new palette?? And could keep switching back and forth and thus having all the colors possible ?
You can just change your palette, you have to choose it as a tool on the right - then all the choices pop up.

I know but I'm wondering if we can get more colors for designs by having our design displayed in another town just slightly changed by the other user so that we can save it as a new design and there fore have 2 palettes of different colorsYou can just change your palette, you have to choose it as a tool on the right - then all the choices pop up.
I'm pretty sure all the palettes are the same, but if you choose the tool right next to it then you can just create your own color.
