Need Help Designing my town ^.^

Hi, so I've been working on my town for quite a while now, but I think there's still something missing and the town seems quite a bit empty. So does any of you guys have any nice ideas to share about how or what I can add to my town? :3 (P.S. This is my first post here so I don't know if I put it in the right section)

Does your town have a theme? Or do you have pictures? Also what public works projects have you already built?

My town has sort of a fairy tale theme, I built two outdoor chairs, the yellow bench, the fountain, the campsite, the street lamp, the rooster, the police station and the campsite.
I don't have pics, but I'll try explain where everything is:

The outdoor chairs and next to each other and near them a custom design of a picnic blanket near the very top of my town.
The fountain is on the cliff behind the beach and behind the fountain there's the yellow bench with one street lamp to its left.
The police station is on the left side of the bridge and the campsite is on the right side.
And the roost is next to retail in the center of the town near the plaza.
I hope this makes sense somehow ><

It sounds really cute
The mushroom fairy ring is a good idea, it would fit the fairytale theme.
Maybe you could make a little forest in the top of your town, with cedars?
Some pwps that would look cute with a fairytale theme: all the fairytale ones (duh), the flower clock, water well, wisteria trellis, flower arch, illuminated heart/tree, topiaries, windmill
Also: flowers. everywhere. lots of flowers. With the fairytale pwps I like pink/yellow/white flowers, with a little blue.

The thing is, I don't have most of these pwp you mentioned, and the villagers haven't been suggesting any lately. So I'm trying to find a way to make my town look better until they start suggesting stuff again

Oh, right! I had that same problem once. Then I suggest making tiny forests, with trees, bushes and flowers. Here are some examples (from tumblr):

In the meantime, I recommend saving spaces for the pwps you want to build later. For example, build a simple streetlamp where you don't want a villager to put their house. If you want paths (qr codes or natural) you can also start working on those with your main buildings
