NEED HELP ASAP! STUCK IN A TOWN!

Alright, so I went to AimeeTheMayor's town to give her some items. I gave her quite a lot of items. So, when I went to Porter to go back to Niue, Porter said:
"The Train doesn't usually take this long! It'll be back in a moment."
I tried this multiple times and Porter still keeps saying the exact same line! Now, we're just here in the town. We've been here for about 10 minutes or something.
After, Aimee suggested that another visitor in our town should be afk, and have her menu bar open. The other visitor wasn't moving. Aimee has already tried to save, and to end the multiplayer session, but it would decline due to the fact that the other visitor had her menu bar open.

I need to go to sleep in a few more minutes, so could someone please help us?

You're stuck that way until the other visitor gets out of the menu screen. There's nothing else you can do besides leave the game open and go to bed and hope the host saves whenever that person comes back or just disconnect the game and start over again some other time.

If she/he is in thinking mode, (looks like he/she is trying to think) She/he is in the menu.
They MUST close the menu in order for you to leave, Or it will just be stuck like that.
Or, you could just ask the host to end the multiplayer session. Always works!

But if we do, the visitor and I have to give the items ALL over again. And as I mentioned earlier, we gave Aimee quiet a few items. Aimee can't save, because the visitor's menu bar is open.

Why did the other person suddenly go AFK? If Aimee doesn't mind, you can go to sleep and keep your DS open while Aimee keeps her town open to wait for the other guy. Once the other visitor returns and exits their menu, Aimee can end the session for all. You'll be back in your town. Don't forget to have your charger plugged in lol.
