Need advices concerning villagers and pwp

Hi everyone!

So, I recently learned that the log bench public work project could only be unlocked by a Uchi villager, and I was so sure that a Lazy villager could unlock it... so sad. Anyway! I really want this pwp, but at the same time I really don't like Uchis, so I would need to have one only for a short period of time.
But I also want to get Monty out of my town, because I'm getting tired of him. And I will need a permanent Cranky villager in Kibicity (Fang would be really nice or maybe Kabuki, Bruce, Elvis or Static).

Basically, my problems are: - I'm so scared of having 9 villagers for a while, then eventually trade with someone and getting an undesirable voided villager's plot in my path or flowers! ;_;
- I'm scared I'll never find Fang because he is quite popular, and would be so mad if I saw him in my campsite while having the Uchi - but it's a common problem to us all, I think

...and my question is: should I just go for it, quick Monty out, find any Uchi to adopt, unlock the pwp, quick her out, and then try to find a good Cranky?

Well, I feel like I just answered my own question, and I'm probably gonna do it anyway. But I would like to get someone's advice. And if anyone has a tip to make sur you won't get a voided villager in your town, please share.

Aaaah, good luck with your plan!
If you don't want to get a voided villager, just be sure not to walk around with your 3DS on standby, or deactivate Streetpass for you ACNL game. If you're afraid to get voided villagers from trade, specify and ask visitors beforehand if they have recently voided a villager. If they have, do not visit them or let them come over. I don't know the timespan to avoid 'recently voided', maybe 2 weeks?

My only point with your plan is that you want to move someone out, take an Uchi as your 10th villager and after unlocking the PWP you want the Uchi to move out, however, there is some discussion whether it is possible or not to move your last move-in out.
Some people succeed at TTing their last move-in out, and other never succeed, even if they TT years...

Thanks for your advice! I'll just specify each time that I want people to be sure about their voids. And yeah I won't forget about streetpass, I got two horrible villagers because of that xD

And for the tenth villager, I never had such a problem before, I had Ankha as a tenth villager in a previous town, she moved out before anyone else and left me with 9 villagers, so I don't know, I hope I won't have this issue with the Uchi :c
