"Simply" xD. That really doesn't exist. Lol. Anyways, ivs are what make a pokemon competitive. You can get a maximum of 31 (the potential) in each stat. If you have that, which is very hard to do, you have a perfect iv pokemon, perfect for competitive battling. Although, some pokemon are better with only 5 ivs. This is because of hidden powers. Don't worry about that atm. More ivs, typically means the more competitive the poke can be. For instance, my 6iv Greninja with hidden ability, is phenomenal! ivs really do make a difference. You'll notice this if you do a battle where all Pokes are set to lvl 50 or something, the ivs make a superb difference. My Greninja outspeeds pretty much everything. Have fun!

Ah. I LOVE my Cloyster with Skill link! Skill link is, whenever you have a move that would hit 2-5 times...it always hits 5!!! ev train it in atack and speed for a super cloyster!

Greninja with protean is a fn one, since he keeps changing his type!

If you're not planning on competitions, just beating up your friends, I strongly advise a high iv legend. I have a 6iv, shiny Rayquaza that would destroy them when Mega evolved, however, he's not KB so he cannot be in tourneys

Gliscor with poison heal and toxic orb is great.

Mega Lopunny is also fun, though you won't be able to mega evolve Rayquaza if you do that.

Landorous-T is also a great one on many teams, though I don't use him
