Natural Path Tips?

So I just restarted my town and I think I want natural paths this time around, but I'm not sure of the fastest way to achieve that. Does anyone have any tips? Should I be saving and quitting between running on them or anything?

I've heard that saving and quitting a lot does facilitate grasswear, so maybe do that a bit more than you normally would!
You might also like to set up pattern tiles, flower borders etc. just to get you started on your route -- it might help you concentrate your efforts on certain places.
And, of course, run as much as you can!
