Native Fruit question

What happens if you chop down all fruit trees with your native fruit? Is it still your native fruit? And, what happens if you sell all the fruit, making it impossible to plant another fruit tree? Do fruit trees grow on their own? Just curious

Native fruit stays the same even if you don't have any of those trees in your town. Fruit trees (of any kind) only grow from planting the fruit. To get town fruit, you would have to get some from someone willing to give you some.

Trees cannot grow on their own -- they need to be planted. To plant a fruit tree, you could have to get the fruit from someone else's town (or from a villager as a present, but that's, like, really rare), and plant it.
