My Villager pinged but then decided to stay?

I have a Villager who I want to move out, I was surprised and glad when she pinged me to leave, but as soon as I told her to go, she gets angry and says she won't leave and that we need to 'work on' our friendship? I didn't save and turned off my 3DS.

Is there anyway to get around this situation? If I ignore her pings will she move out anyway?

Any help would be appreciated. Animal Crossing Newb here xD

This happened to me as well with an uchi villager and i believe they will just move out if you ignore them

So long as you didn't save just go back onto your game and she will ping again and hopefully move this time, keep doing it until she does (although in my experience the second try they always move anyway). Sometimes they change their minds like that but quitting and trying again fixes it .

It's excellent that you didn't save: If they mentioned a moving date, you can also TT to that day, and they should be in boxes.
(Mott did that to me when I really need him to move. Since he already mentioned a date, I quit without saving, and TT to that day - so happy to see him finally in boxes.)

They'll do that sometimes if you don't have a high enough friendship level with them (if you ignore them completely or don't talk to them very often). As others have said, just keep resetting until she moves out.

lol, that happened to my friend once. first time I saw they could do that. you did the right thing though if you really wanted them to move out. x0D they should move out for sure next time they ping.

I wish I knew this a few days ago. Jitters said he was gonna move out and then the next day i was talking to him and he changed his mind and decided to stay. His house placement is ruining my town plans. :/

That happened to me with Canberra recently. She said she would move and like 5 days or more passed. Then the day before she would've been in boxes she decided to stay! I wished I hadn't spoken to her that day! Oh well.

I'm not sure why that happens.

Literally happened to me today too! xD Portia said she was leaving and I said Ok, bye and then she was like "On second thought, I've had some really good memories here with you, so I'll stay. Let's become better friends!" No Portia, your time here is long over due. I reset and she pinged me again and this time didn't change her mind, so all good!
