Im feeling pretty sad about this as i just got the final shop upgrade for Gracie. I plan on resetting until i get a nice map i suppose. Is there anything that I want to try to avoid this time around? What are some positives with starting over at this time of year? I guess im just looking for a cheer up haha.

Sorry to hear that :(, if you need any fruits or bells to help give you a starter boost let me know :).

On the bright side, you could find your perfect map, perfect native fruit and villagers you like :).

Well you get to enjoy the game all over again! You get a new map and you can start collecting bugs, fish, ect
And if you ever duped DONT it corrupted the game

Oh my gosh, I'm so sorry that has happened ;-; These kinds of thing scare me so much, because it could happen anytime :c What exactly did you do? Did you turn the power off while saving, do anything differently, or did you just not do anything at all?

The positives of starting over is that you get to enjoy a whole different experience in a new town, it's like a breath of fresh air. You also have the chance to find a better map than the last one! Hope this helps.

Im not entirely sure how it happened, i never time travel or anything :( I did drop my 3DS yesterday. Thank you for the words of encouragement guys, and I may have to take you up on that care package once iv found my new map FancyThat

I'm so sorry this happened to you! :c

I'm really afraid of this happening to me someday... I'm not sure how the corruption happens...

If you have an SD card, and you take the SD card out while your ds is on/ you're playing the game, that can corrupt your save file. Maybe when you dropped it, it may have jiggled the SD card loose? Anyways, good luck resetting. I remember when I reset, it was a bit scary, but it was so worth it. I found my perfect town, dream fruit and etc, so those are pros. Plus, you might end up with villagers you never had before.
