So some of you might remember me posting about the wildfires where I live a while ago, and after just getting over those horrid fires another huge fire broke out today. As I was sleeping I was woken to my family banging on my door telling me we were evacuating. All I was able to grab was a bag of clothes and our animals. As we packed the car I could hear the roar of the fire just a block away from my house, ash and embers raining down from the sky which was lit a bright pinky red and thick smoke filling the air... As we slowly got out of Hidden Valley we could see trees on our street lighting up from the embers... Thankfully we got out in time. My boyfriend's work, a gas station, blew up shortly after he left right down the road from our house... The whole town is up in flames, houses, some people are still trapped and unable to leave... I am safe a few towns over with my family thank all the various gods but I can't stop crying because I most likely don't have a house, the place I work will likely be gone by morning, all I own now is a bag with a few pairs of clothes, my phone, and my DS. That's all I was ae to grab because it was so close, if we would have waited any longer we could have easily been trapped... I am not asking for help or anything cause really there isn't anything to do bit hope and pray, but I could use consolation. Here is the current status on the fire and I am very sorry if I am not able to be on very often as we get though this crisis. I love you all.http://m.fire.ca.gov/MajorIncidentInfo.aspx?id=1226
It's called the Valley Fire right now. And is all over the news.

Even though your town went down... at least everyone you knew was safe. If the worst had came, you're boyfriend might've been caught in the explosion.

Damn girl... glad you guys got out in time and I hope you guys are okay *hugs*

Just read on that site you linked to.. hope they can handle it.

So glad you made it out alive! Scary to think how fast wildfires spread, and how spontaneously they can start. It's even more terrifying to see timelapse videos. The fire doesn't just spread, but surrounding areas get so hot (800?C/1,472?F) that they just burst into flames. And all this can be shifted by a breeze.

Oh gosh that's terrifying! Thank god your safe though. I used to live in the hills of my city and wildfires were so frequent because of the weather. It sucks being constantly on edge because of how easily fires spread, couldn't imagine how devastated you must be :( Glad you're safe

I'm really sorry that happened to you. I can't even imagine how painful that must have been to see. I'm glad you, your family, and boyfriend all made it out okay though. I will say a prayer for you and hope things take a turn for the better. Just hang in there and be as strong as you can.

I'm very sorry to hear, my sympathy goes out to you. Thankfully you're safe though, I wish the best for you in this dire situation.

I'm sorry this happened to you. It's in California? Because my aunt, (sort of uncle), and their kids live there, and I was hoping nothing happened to them either. They live in a city that ends in Side. I forgot what it was called :/

I read through the news and saw how bad it was. Wow! 62.5 square miles burned? That must be a huge wildfire.

I believe what's causing these fires. What happens is that dry grass has a low ignition temperature, so it can start a fire if the sun bakes down some heat. Those were naturally made fires, and they spread uncontrollably.

The reason why California is being hit hard by great fires (huge wildfires) is because of a drought they have been under. For three years, California was facing a horrible drought, the worst drought in over a millennium. No rain came, and there's almost no groundwater. So the grass dries out. And the state has strict water restrictions.

I am extremely sorry for what happened to you, unfortunately I can't relate with my experiences completely, but I'm glad that you, your family, and your boyfriend are safe at least.

So sorry about your Home but so glad you &nd your family are safe

Running on no sleep. Couldn't sleep. The place we evacuated too might have to be evacuated soon

Don't know where we're going yet or how were getting there. Middletown, the main town is all gone, burnt up. Roads are closed. Thank you all for the prayers and hope. Don't know what is going to happen.
