My snowmam keeps disappearing!

I made my snowoman and she was perfectly balanced, I went to drop of some of the things I had and when I came back she was gone completely! And I can't find any other snowballs in town so I can build her again, does anyone know why this keeps happening? Is it because I built her so close to the smowman? :/

I think they need to have 1 space in between each other and 1 space free from obstacles like buildings.

I built my snowmama right next to the snowpapa and when I came back later the snowmama was pushed 1 space to the right. Maybe this happened to you and it went into the river.
