MY Mayor and tanning

OK So my mayor has been at tortimor island since 1 pm it is now 7:30 pm, she was outside the whole time, I left my 3ds open and she still is not darker..if so its very slight..So what is the problem?

I think so. You might just be able to just save and then reload the game though.

Actually, if you look closely, your character gets tanner skin on the same day. The thing is, you can only go up one tan level once a day, so if you want the darkest skin colour, you'll have to tan five days straight.

Getting a deeper tan takes only 15-20 minutes (assuming you aren't wearing wide-brimmed hats, long sleeves, and certain accessories), you don't have to stay at the island for hours.
