So now that E3 has ended, the Nintendo Switch eShop got a big sale! A bunch of games I had wishlisted for so long finally went on sale and I kind of went crazy and bought 6 games (with even more that I'm still deciding on 🙈). So I'm kind of curious which games you all snagged from this sale!

Games I bought:
Bug Fables: The Everlasting Sapling
The Gardens Between
West of Loathing
What the Golf?
The Longing
Owlboy

Games I'm tempted to buy:
Darq: Complete Edition
Creaks
Machinarium
The Last Campfire
Ultimate Chicken Horse
...and plenty more

Let me know any recommendations if you have any! And tell me games you bought or are still on the fence about :) I'm just really excited about this sale because some of these I've been waiting for so long for a sale hehe

Oh gosh so many games on my wishlist are on sale and I am so tempted to buy all of them lol.
Here are the ones I did buy right away:
  • Transistor
  • Dead Cells
  • Gris
Trying to talk my sister into buying these:
  • Bug fables
  • Turnip boy commits tax evasion
  • The last campfire
And I also am really tempted to buy Bug fables myself and Kentucky Route Zero.

i bought story of seasons: pioneers of olive town! it’s a game I’ve been waffling over for a while, but now that a large dialogue improvement patch is slated to drop this month the current sale felt like a perfect opportunity to grab it. (base game + DLC pack selling for still less than the entire base game’s non-sale cost...)

Omg you're gonna love Gris! ^_^ I also have Transistor! Hopefully it lives up to the hype that I've seen hehe. I had Dead Cells on my wishlist for a while too but I'm really worried it'll be too hard and then I'll give up on it out of frustration. If you try it soon, I'd love to hear your impressions!

I hear Bug Fables is super good so I think you can't go wrong with it. However, I did buy Kentucky Route Zero and it was not for me. Maybe I'm just not the target audience. Hopefully you like it if you do get it!

I'm also considering this but since it's on the more expensive side, it's lower on my priority list for now hehe. Hopefully the patch makes a big difference!

Havent Bought Anything Yet, But Some That Got me interested is,

Miitopia
Minecraft
Stardew Valley
And Kill it with fire

Thanks! I'm super excited for Gris, I have heard amazing things about it. And ya I bought Hades a while ago and got really into it so thats why I got transistor and also dead cells to try. I'm also worried it might be too hard but I feel like I've gotten pretty good at Hades so I am hopeful that I can learn to be good at dead cells too maybe lol.

My sister and I both actually ended up buying bug fables lol, and we are really excited for it. I decided against Kentucky route zero too after watching a bit of the gameplay : p

Nice! I see you like the creative games 😊

Was eyeing a few things but this sale started the same day as the Dead By Daylight DLC so I bought that instead.

Been waiting on a sale for Resident Evil games a while now, really want to pick up RE4

thank god i saw this thread because i actually didn't know there was an eshop sale! i'm tempted to buy story of seasons: pioneers of olive town since if i'm going to buy it one day i might as well get it while it's cheaper right? but at the same time it's still more expensive than i can probably afford atm. i'll probably pick up spiritfarer though because i've been eyeing it for a while! and i've heard my time at portia is supposed to be good so might end up grabbing that too. this feels like a slippery slope..

I haven't bought anything yet as I'm not sure what I want to buy, but I did see that Ni no Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch is on sale. That's a game I would really recommend to anyone that hasn't played it yet. Essentially it's a "monster taming" game, but the combat system is in real time instead of turnbased. It's super fun and the story and characters are superb. Considering it's co-made by Studio Ghibli, it easily made me cry haha.

I haven’t beaten it yet, but I did enjoy it. Oh I had no idea Studio Ghibli made it 😱. Last time I played it, I felt so overwhelmed. I loved the graphics and I thought it was interesting. :)

I don’t have money, otherwise I’d look into Cuphead, Secrets of Mana (interested because of a collab with a gacha game I play), and maybe P5 Strikers - which I want the most but not sure if I want it for switch or ps4 which I have P5 on.

Spirit farer is so good!! I highly recommend this game. Personally I didn't like my time at portia too much because it felt like characters had only 2 lines of dialogue and the gameplay got very repetitive/boring quickly. (edit: also forgot to mention that there is very limited furniture and clothing options which was another reason why I stopped playing.) I'd recommend waiting a bit longer for the new game (My time at Sandrock) to come out since its suppose to be an upgrade.

I thought about buying it as well but I'm still hesitant lol. I think I need to see more before I actually get the game. I'm also kind of hoping for a huge price drop a la the MT remake; I remember the physical edition being half-off there for a little while.

Anyway I bought Oxenfree! I've been wanting to play it for a while, and I was able to get it for $1.01 since I had some coins credited to my account. I'm thinking of getting The Coma: Recut because I've been interested in that for some time, too.

Might pickup the Three Houses expansion pass, Roombo, Part Time UFO, and/or Tales of Vesperia. Downloaded some demos to try out too, maybe I'll pickup some of those full games.

I have been playing Spiritfarer as well and I really enjoy it. The only thing I would warn players about is that gameplay can feel kind of repetitive. Take your time with the game and rotate it out with other games you have interest in to avoid burn out or feeling repetitive. Try and see if you can find each character's favorite food before moving on. The game is well made and the dialog/story is good in my opinion. I totally recommend the game if you have an interest in characters and stories.

If you have time after you finish Oxenfree, I would love to hear your thoughts! I played Kentucky Route Zero and really hated it and I know that game inspired Oxenfree so I've put it off my wishlist for now. I'm still so curious about it though and I just wanna know if it'll be fun, especially with the sequel coming eventually!
