Those of you with towns w/many different paths: How many mule characters do you use?
Do you make a house for the mules or do you keep them in a tent untill you have the time to decorate more houses?
I plan to have a lot of paths and I have fallen in love with a few, some of them with many differnt pieces per path. Do you have maximum amount of mules to get enough slots? (and again, what do you do with their houses?
At the moment I have 3 characters to hold pattern slots and other stuff, including my mayor.
It can't be helped that you're only limited to 10 pattern slots per character... so if you want to design more clothing and/or more complex path variations and whatnot, you're probably need more storage for them. Also, there's just so many furniture and ways to arrange them to look nice, especially with the update.
I don't use the mule characters as active characters obviously, but I do outfit the characters and upgrade their houses for more furniture/room themes to fit in with the town as a whole to make it look more complete in a sense.
Two road-crew characters. I need the fourth slot for plot resetting.
My construction workers live in abject poverty on a dead-end street just above the waterfall. They have houses, but they're not expanded. Every now and then they get to go on trips to see Katrina in other towns, but aside from that they mostly only come out when I screw up a path or when they get mail from family and I can't stand the beeping.
I don't use paths and neither do I use mule characters. I just don't like having a character that I'm never going to use besides placing down paths (which I'm not a big fan of in the first place).
Right now I just have my mayor, I got rid of my extra characters for plotting my new villagers and just never created them again. I find I actually have enough space with just my mayor right now and I'm using 3 different types of paths which is fine for me
