i prefer random move ins or island move ins just to be safe, last time i accepted an amiibo scanned + forced out villager (which was last week) it glitched one of my plots and i had to restart, that's me personally though. i don't think it happens to everyone but it can happen still, even with the last update

She’s an original I got when I started the island, must have found her on an island. I’ve got someone staying at the campsite who I want to move in and since my island is full she was the one that was chosen at random to move out

restart as in restart your town? if so i thought tt'ing a couple of days fixed the plot?

yeah. i was told tting a couple days/weeks/months forward can possibly fix it and it has for some, but for me it wouldn't work i tried :/ eventually gave up lol

weirder thing was, when i was on that person's island i was inviting bonbon to move in, but when i got back to my island the sign said it was reserved for cherry, who i don't think was even on their island at the time. then her house was stuck as "i've moved out" and the thought of having a useless house like that bothered me to the point of not wanting to wait for a patch
