I am resetting and was wondering if it was possible to get a villager the day someone moves in, and before the town has nine villagers. Like for example, say Bob moves in as the sixth villager. Would I be able to pick up Stitches from whoever is holding him that day? Or would I have to TT ahead one day? Or is this even possible?

Only one can move in each day C: if you invite more than one the first is canceled out but you can invite someone if a plot is already placed, you just can't invite two on the same day. Also if you invited someone in, you won't get two plots (one from a random and one from the villager you invited, you'll just get the one you invited) C: hope i helped
Yes you can. But Bob will have to be inside his house in boxes. Not sure about the house plot. But I've picked other villagers from others on the same day while a villager moved in but is inside with boxes still.

If the plot is there it is safe to invite another villager (i recently reset and invited everyone over once i was satisfied with the plot location). I would invite, plot reset, invite the next one and so on. Only invite when you are pleased with the plot location if you plot reset

No problem glad to help you out. I've heard horror stories of villagers not appearing because they invited two in the same day but once the plot is set you are good to go C:
If the first villager has already plotted, yes, you can invite another villager on the same day (since they'd be plotting on different days). I think the only time it doesn't work is if you're inviting both on the same day, because one of them will overwrite the other.
