I Was wondering how people Feel about them. I dont think its to bad its the popcorn and soda that kills me.
And the Candy that cost 4$ that i know is 98 cents at Walmart. So i know sneak in my candy.

True Story i once say lady whip out Chicken and Biscuits wile at the movies.

are you not allowed to bring your own candy into the cinema where you are? lol i just bring candy from the grocery store, the stuff you buy there is way overpriced.
for the actual ticket prices uuhhh i don't go too often so it's alright for me to pay like 120 sek (14 dollars) to see a movie i really want to see. it'd be more annoying if i went more often i guess.

I went to the cinema with my family yesterday and for all 5 of us cinema tickets were ?55 (71$) and we got popcorn and things too, which must have came to ?25 (32$) or so but I don't remember exactly. I guess that's really pretty expensive as it was around ?80 just for us to go to the cinema, and going for food before added on another ?60. However we don't do it often so it's a rare expensive treat and we could have made it cheaper by not going out for food and not buying popcorn and things.

That's for 5 people though, just to pay myself into the cinema it'd be ?7.79 (10$) and a few extra ?'s for a drink or something, I don't think that's overpriced. It becomes expensive if I'm paying for more than one person and buying lots of food too,

It's hella expensive here so you folks who have cheap tickets are lucky!!
A person who is an adult has to pay around $23-$26, depending on which cinema they go to. They only have a smol discount for those who are students..like only a few dollars below :( Whereas for children I think it's hella lower, idk. For a family of 3 (adults) going to the cinemas on a day other than Tuesday (Tuesday is half-price day for Hoyts (cinema) over here) would likely cost over $60. But on some days it is half-price for some cinemas.

Tickets are $4.95 for everyone until 7pm here, and from 7pm - closing they're $4.95 for children, $7.95 for adults, $5.95 for elderly. I definitely think these are fantastic prices. The candy/popcorn/drinks are a little pricey, though, so I tend not to buy those as often.

Guess weather or not u go to movies depends on few factors, gross in dollars, Whos in the movie , lastly how long until its red boxxed orDvded

Movies are priced around $5.50 - $7.50 at my local theatre.

I don't understand why kids (12 and under) are priced less than adults at the movie theaters because they'll talk/cry/shout/ask questions throughout the entire movie.

where i live they charge $8.50 for monday till wednesday and then $12.50 for thursday till sunday. kinda ok if you ask me compared to some cinemas in certain countries that charge customers above 20 for one ticket. i can get go to an imax theater with 20 here. also, i dont really buy popcorn from the cinema coz they're a ripoff. i can get a maple syrup flavored popcorn for a price lower than the cinema's popcorn.

It really depends on the site, but most of them charge 11€ (13$ i guess) per ticket, and 5€ (6$?) in wednesdays, which is el d?a del espectador (''viewer's day'')

So if movies are not cheap to go too why do we go?

To be fair, most of the money gained by selling tickets goes to the movie makers. The theatres overprice the candy because they barely make any money on the tickets, and they need to keep the business going somehow.

Maybe then movies Should die, at this point u get to see almost any movie in less 6 monthes. i they just cut out middle man and went right to homes might be better for movie makers that way. u see lot of actors are making contact claws that they will do movies but only if it goes straight
to home first then movies.

It's a fun experience, but the prices are really awful. I almost never buy theatre snacks, it's practically robbery, the only time I've bought snacks at the movies recently was when I was having a low blood sugar attack and I probably would have cried if I didn't eat anything.

Certin movies i will go see no matter what at movies. But at this point i kinda enjoy watching them at home. I have a lazy boy and a big screen tv
with popcorn and Mike and Ikes.

Chicken? I've never known somebody to visit a cinema and eat chicken whilst watching a film.

Oh goodness, don't even go there! The prices are an absolute disgrace. I'd much rather buy the actual film on DVD, at least that way I can watch it as many times as I want at home. I'm also in a world of Netflix and NOWTV right now and I have a range of films to select from. Not bad for ?9.99 a month.

I only ever go to the movies if it's matinee or discount Tuesday nights. The theater I used to go to had free small popcorn those nights, but the one I go to now that I've moved doesn't do that, so I either sneak something in or don't have a snack during the movie.

Here it's around ?17 an adult ticket. When I was younger I did the old kids movie days, the tickets were around ?1-2. But now we have a lot more money so I can afford going to the cinema on any day.

Some times I bring in my own chocolate, depends. I do like getting a slushie at the cinema though.

I'm kinda shocked at the low prices people on here are posting. In my area, tickets are $16 per adult so it can add up quickly unfortunately. Candy is usually $6 and many places charge for parking so it's not really worth it. I'd rather wait tbh.

It's about $10-$11 CAD here (so around $8 USD). I'm going to a movie today so I bought snacks elsewhere because those are ridiculously priced. The theatres that serve alcohol are also insanely expensive.
