hello!!! recently, i decided to pick up mother 3 after years of being curious about it.

and

oh my god i love it.

this can also be a thread for the entire mother series, not just limited to the third one!!

currently, im grinding to beat the mecha-drago.

Since this isn't just for the 3rd version, I beat Earthbound again on my second playthrough yesterday. I forgot how much I loved it until I picked it up again last week.

Holy crap, I have a fan translation for it, AND IT IS AMAZING!!! There were a few bosses I kept getting stuck on... (The trash golem, the giant snake, Claus), I eventually beat them, but that is definitely one of the best games EVER!!!

Or you might be waiting, ya know, forever. At least with EarthBound Zero, the localization was complete years ago and it was simply never released. Localization for Mother 3 might never happen, and even if it did, it would probably butcher certain aspects of the game. It is honestly probably in the best interest of both Nintendo and the fans that they not mess with it. If they had any interest in doing anything with 3, Clyde Mandelin's translation patch would have been taken down ages ago.

I watched my older brother play EarthBound and fell in love with it. I was more of a Sega Genesis person at the time, but I played it years down the line and still enjoy it.

I played Mother 3 some years back and it blew EarthBound out of the water. It is one of my favorite games in general.
