Most underrated villager species?

The deer, cats, etc get lots of love, but which species do you really like out of the underrated ones?

I really enjoy the alligators. Gayle is in my town and she's precious, Alfonso is adorable in the Animal Crossing movie (he wears a bunny suit!), Boots has cute l'il smiling eyes, and Drago has neat frills, to give a few examples.

What about you guys?

Koalas. Some of them are really cool like Eugene and villagers such as Canberra are nice as well

I agree....koalas.I think it's because as a group,they're not really the best looking species but they're not entirely ugly either(but,yeah...Canberra seems to scare some people).They're somewhere in the middle as far as desirability goes so that might be why they're underappreciated.

For me it has to be frogs. There are so many good frogs like Cousteau, Ribbot, and of course Raddle! They're probably my 3rd favorite species next to cats and wolves.

I definitely agree! I already find alligators neat in real life so of course I'll like them in Animal Crossing as well. Boots is probably my favorite. It'd also be cool if there could be more alligator villagers in the future.

frogs (except jambette) are good, but i dont see many fawn over them. im working on getting my whole town rn to be all frog villagers lol: got jeremiah, drift, and henry

Frogs are super cute! I really love Gigi, Jeremiah, Henry and Lily.

And anteaters too! There's been recently a thread here discussing them, and it made me realize how many cute anteater villagers there are! I love Antonio, Pango, Anabelle and Analisa

I'd probably say the ducks. I know that some of the ducks are pretty popular like Molly and maybe Ketchup (I can see the appeal, but idk how popular he is), but beyond them, the rest don't get much love, like Derwin, Pate, Gloria, Joey, Mallory, etc. :3

Monkeys, gorillas, tigers, kangaroos, frogs, mice, ostriches. Especially the gorillas, who I feel are super underrated. When they are happy and hold their fists up to their mouths in joy, I MELT! I also LOVE the monkey feet, watching them slap around town. So cute! And though I see it mentioned constantly, the charming fact that the frogs do not use umbrellas in the rain. Oh, I almost forgot the pigs and their chubby, happy bellies!

Alfonso in a bunny suit what a mood. Yes Alligators are underrated.

So are Koalas.

I?m shocked re: frogs, I feel like they are getting the love unlike some species. They might not have popular tier 1 villagers, but they?re not overlooked.

I also love Gayle! The alligators are so cute and chubby, with their stubby little arms and legs! I love them. Gayle is in my main town, she's one of my top fav villagers. I agree they're underrated.

when I first got into the game I thought lions were the best villagers you can get & i thought I was very lucky to have Mott LOL but apparently nobody likes them that much haha

The kangaroos and chickens are awesome, I love them to bits.

I'm also amazed how rarely the tigers are mentioned. I'd have thought they'd be super popular! Well, I can love them enough to make up for it.
