Most bait used while trying to catch a fish?

I'm currently at 580 fish bait used and I'm hunting the Mahi-Mahi

I've missed about 10 fish but they were just way faster than normal and I have a good reaction speed idk

I still have not got this fish. How many fish bait have you used trying to catch a fish?

i’ve used over 30 for the golden trout and still haven’t caught it ;u;

Around 250 for the Mahi Mahi. Golden trout was around 200. Good luck!

I've been pretty lucky with fish not gonna lie, but last night I just spend 4+ hours straight and around 350+ bait getting that stupid Cast Master Mission complete. The 97/100 won't need to haunt my dreams anymore

I haven't kept track of how much I used for the stringfish but that one took entire days of fishing non stop. Other than that, yesterday I spent around 130 bait to catch a giant trevally.

I know I used quite a bit for the coelacanth. For whatever reason I could not catch it. Now all of a sudden its much easier. I did spend one day getting all my stamps for collecting clams because I figured it was a fast way to stack up nook miles. I used so so so so so much bait that day

I never bothered counting, since I just use 28 bait at a time and then repair the rod

but I don't think it was ever more than 2 batches of this

I don't remember how much I used for the golden trout, but I know it was over 100. I definitely didn't think it'd take that much bait to get it.

It took 150 or so to get the char. Still the only one I've caught. Stupid char.

When you say 30 baits for one fish, did you throw in 30 packets at the same time or one packet at a time?

I spent a couple hundred looking for the stringfish. A hundred or so each for the char, golden trout, mahi mahi and giant trevally. I usually buy bait from other people since I’m burnt out from digging the clams up myself lmao

I didn’t attempt to catch any fish that wasn’t the size I was looking for to save my fishing rod durability.

I used 20 today and got Mahi Mahi on my last try! I shouted so loud, lol. I was so surprised. I thought it would take longer since it seems like everyone has been farming for it. I made so much bait, lol.

I was lucky enough to catch a mahi mahi within 80 bait and caught another right after it. weird.

Where do you catcha golden trout? I know it’s in a river but my cousin said that you get it at the very top, the third or second ground level, is that true or can it be any river?
