More storage in Animal Crossing New Horizons

Is there anything that can give me more storage a chest etc? I am out of room for the limit in my house i need more storage any chests that i can use for more storage?

I have the same problem. Seems such a small amount of storage space. If you don't have anyone else on your island, you can set up a second character for storing things rarely used?

No, unfortunately not. You have your house and that's it. You can place furniture somewhere.... or like Betsy suggested, you can make another character.

You could add another profile, fully upgrade their house, and get an extra 1600 slots. This can be done on the same Switch, accessing your same island.

So if im correct i have to make a new profile on my switch create a new account a new island but how to i get items to and from my other island without having a second switch?

It would be the same island. Just a different "person". Set up second profile on switch, using second profile will give you second character on your same island

You could design the second house using some items you wish to store, or like a cafe, or whatever. You could have 4 fully upgraded character houses, each full of furniture, each having 1600 storage spaces. I'm a but jealous... I have to share mine, no extra characters lol...

Nope. No linked account, no new online account.

It actually easier than it sounds. Sorry, I dont explain things well sometimes, lol. You just add profile (player) to switch. None of our other players have nintendo online or accounts linked, just me.

When you play with your second character, it takes you to your island. They will get a tent and go through the loan paying to upgrade. You can drop money outside, and your second character can just pick that up and upgrade their tent

yes do these items despawn have you tested this? Can i bury them to stom despawning

Uh I’ve never had anything despawn but maybe that’s because I’m always moving stuff around. Let me do some research and I’ll get back to you.

Okay, I just did a little research and it seems that no, items that are dropped don’t despawn. If you’re still worried though you can just bury them, like you said.
