If I plant any amount of bells with my gold shovel will it fruit into bags of money? Is there a certain amount I need to plant. I know it's not cost effective, but I thought I could plant them around my leprechaun's house and it would look really cute.

If it helps, I read that the chances are n/100, where n is how many thousand bells you plant.
For example, 1000 bells = 1/100
10,000 bells = 10/100 (10%)
99,000 will almost guarantee your bell tree sprouts, but you will not profit.

Hmmm thanks - so the big question is, do I want to plant enough money for an upgrade so I can have a conversation piece near my leprechaun's house..... Maybe I'll downsize my plans and go with just one in that case. ( Hey, he has to get the gold coins to fill up his pots from somewhere. ) and I'll just think of it as a PWP so I don't cry.

Im not sure how true this is, but someone meantioned once that you can only get one money tree per day.So I wouldn't do more than one a day, just in case.It would be a shame to waste a bunch of bells planting them everywhere on the same day.
