oh, ok, it's just i've gotten a couple of regular balloons and i thought the next balloon after the 300th would 100% of the time be golden :x rip

I didn’t find mine for a few days, but did get it.

You'll get it eventually! When I got mine, it took me by suprise! I was balloon hunting so I was running up and down the beach and then I looked up and was like "Wow that balloon looks like it is gold". I didn't acually realize it was the balloon with the golden slingshot until I opened the present attached !

It'll definitely come sooner or later. When I first got mine, I was fishing on the right side of my beach, and didn't even know I was at the 300 mark. Low and behold my golden balloon was already flying away over the ocean. I was pretty salty, but I ended up getting another golden balloon to appear at the 310 or 311 total balloons popped.

I accidentally popped my first golden balloon in a spot that had some bushes and flowers. I really thought it was just going to bounce off to the side, but apparently it had other ideas and I watched it just vanish instead. Oops!

I knew that it would spawn more though, and I saw it again a day or two later. Which was alright, the golden slingshot isn't that exciting anyway!

Have you tried impatiently running in circles? I don't think it would help but it can't hurt to try, it's what I did when I hunted balloons for recipes

I don't think they do. They seem to appear every five minutes regardless of the time and weather and always at set times! The side that they appear from does switch twice per day around 6am and pm I think (but I'm not entirely sure!).

I'd just check which side of the island the balloons are coming from, and then run up and down the beach on that side of the island around any time that ends with 0 or 5 because that's when they arrive.

I popped it and it took a week or two more for it to come. I even posted a thread on here about it too and found that other people had a similar experience. I finally got it though!

I've never crafted a golden slingshot or any other golden tool and I never will.

The golden tools have always been the pot of gold at the end of the AC rainbow.
The reward for catching every fish or bug, etc.

Now it's just a DIY for yet another breakable tool.

Yeah, the gold watering can breaks too easily. Haven’t actually made the gold slingshot yet.

I got mine immediately after achieving the goal. Be sure to pan up to enjoy all views of your once in a lifetime opportunity to see a golden balloon. And the increased spray area for the golden cans easily makes it worth the gold ya gotta spend
