I keep hearing chirping. Is that a mole cricket? I understand they supposed to appear from November till May.

I have to admit I've kind of forgotten the sound the mole cricket makes.. But maybe you're hearing a frog in the pond go ribbit?

I'm so grateful I don't have to hear that annoying mole cricket noise. Seriously, so glad!
I think it might be a frog too. If you're near one of your lakes. Cicadas are loud and obvious, I'm sure you know what they sound like, if you've been to the island tours, even if this is your first time in summer. There are bees and mosquitos in my town atm too, but those are more of a buzzing sound. Crickets make noise too, but again it's not that annoying low hum that mole crickets have. I can't think of anything else that makes a noise.

I just walked past 2 honeybees, and remembered this thread...it could very well be what you're hearing is honeybees. They're out and about in June.
