Obviously in the past I reckon there have been many threads dedicated to the discussion of the game in the past, but it seems as though its a game which not many people on TBT seem to speak much about. My idea with this thread is not really to start an 'Official' Minecraft thread or anything but more just to discuss with a few people here about their opinions, experiences and thoughts on the game.

I first got the game way back in alpha, and I remember I used to play this game a lot. I was really addicted to it, and I enjoyed every minute of playing it - whether that be Single Player Survival, or multiplayer with friends on servers, I really had a lot of fun on that game. But it seems now I don't really have many friends who play Minecraft anymore, and I guess that has resulted in me not playing it so much, and to be honest, I feel as though I miss it a bit.

I was thinking of maybe playing a bit of Minecraft soon, since its been such a long time since I played, and I would definitely love to play with some of you guys from this community on a server or something - so would anyone really be interested in playing some Minecraft sometime?

I've never played online apart from on the Xbox.

I miss it too, I may pop in to a shop this weekend and buy it for pc.

I love Minecraft. I got my copy of the game a few days before the Nether was added to the game.

I only play the game to build, however. Be that through creative where I have all the unlimited resources at my disposal, or in survival where I have to gather my supplies myself, I only play the game to build things. My computer can't handle exploration that much (not since the adventure update. 9_9) and I find the nether a pointless place to visit. Because of that, I tend to only stay in one area building cute little towns and stuff like that.

Heck, I used to enjoy building a little house and just going down and exploring caves. But creepers exist. So I'm forced to play on peaceful so I don't lose my structures due to a wayward little monster exploding and tearing my hard work apart.

Though, I have played on a friend's server recently. I've been having a little fun playing on mandatory survival mode. Though he was nice enough to give me OP privileges so that I can switch between creative and survival at whim in case I need a breather or just want to build something massive. Playing and having to deal with enemies is fun sometimes. (Except for the fact that creepers seem to spawn in huge numbers now. On top of that, zombies come from out of nowhere and in huge numbers too. I don't quite understand why they think this makes the game better. Artificial difficulty isn't a fun challenge.)

Also how 'bout dem randomly spawning witches now? I swear every time I find one on accident it kills me.

Yeah got this game in beta 1.2, loved it... Played it most at beta 1.3 (When I found my first AMAZING server with very nice people) to beta 1.7. After beta 1.8 the server became VERY innactive (I think it was shutdown though) but it scraped along at 0-5 people out of 50 until around release 1.6.4. It is still up but very rare to find anyone on the server. Really would like to be able to play a lot with people again but haven't really been able to, I have been playing with my friend lately however we just ran out of stuff to do and are doing a skyblock.

I host a vanilla survival server for my Steam group, give me a PM if you're interested and I'll whitelist you and such. :)

I play on a survival server. It's fun. It has the original survival world for it, Acheron, the 1.7.2 new survival world Zion, the ruleless world Infio, and Creative. I like it. McMMO and MCJobs.

I got minecraft myself just after 1.2.5 but was playing it at a friend's house since beta 1.8 ;)
Still haven't lost interest

Although I'm currently busy with my Hexxit world, so I haven't had time to check out the 1.7 stuff properly yet :(

Ahh I did two hexxit playthroughs with my new friend. Hexxit is great and all but it goes by SO fast... Mine a couple times, get diamond armor (Which is too easy imo xD) and you are ready for battle towers. Once you do a couple battle towers you are close to op (Because they raise your levels so much so you can enchant like MAD because of the enchanting mod.) Then all you pretty much have left is the Twilight Forest... It was good but I personally preferred tekkit. I don't know how tekkit is now, but I played pretty much Tekkit Classic, and nothing else (I played tekkit before they made tekkit lite, which I didn't like at all).

I probably put like 300+ hours into tekkit with my other friend who is no longer my friend because he is so.. I don't know how else to put it, but now he is ALWAYS all b****y to me and it is really annoying. We shared common interests, but now he is all smart allecky and hates everything I like and barely talks to me, but rather talks to only the people we always hated and joked about. I don't think I ever had a better friendship before him but whatever. really makes me sad, I give it a chance now and then to talk to him but he just won't talk to me anymore. Gaming can really bring people close.. But other times bring people apart.. When we got bored of tekkit, we never went on skype. When we never went on skype, we never talked. When we never talked, he found other people to talk to. When he found his new group he became a dbag.

Anyway that got really off topic, sorry. :(

I love Minecraft. It is a very good game to play in your free time, or when you are being creative. I play on a server w/ my friends a lot, and it is really fun.
