Minecraft refuses to load?

minecraft dosen't want to open. its stuck on the launcher and it dosen't normally happen. like it keeps saying "loading profiles". anyone know what to do?

I've had infinite billion problems with minecraft. Did you try just deleting every thing and reinstalling? This probably isnt the best idea if you have sensitive world map info.

Backup your saves before deleting/reinstalling, then paste them back once you verify it all works again.

OP: Are you playing Vanilla or a particular modpack?
