I'm American, and I watched it two days ago, and a second time today. ;DZack said:We American's are still waiting for this one.

Eh, it's not really piracy. It's not like downloading a video game for free that everyone else has to pay for. Doctor Who is free to watch...provided you live in the UK. >_> Unfortunately, the BBC locks out its website from other countries and forces foreign Doctor Who fans to wait weeks for episodes that have already aired over there, for no reason at all. It's ridiculous. So, because the BBC hates American Doctor Who fans, I don't find it wrong to download episodes and watch them before they've officially aired over here. People in the UK can watch it now (and for free, any time they want), so why shouldn't everyone else be able to? Besides, it's not like I'm not going to buy the DVDs.Zack said:Piracy FTW?Tyeforce said:I'm American, and I watched it two days ago, and a second time today. ;DZack said:We American's are still waiting for this one.

You can watch it online on the BBC's website for free, anytime you want. Or your free BBC iPlayer Channel on Wii, which the rest of the world doesn't get, either. >_>Sanji said:Oi! The evil TV companys FORCE us to pay a thing called a TV Lisence, where we must pay to keep our TVs (per TV as well) and if we dont they will be taken away by fat greasy men in trucks. And this is PURELY for the BBC since the other channels use adverts to pay for stuff.
So your pretty much stealing from us to >:T
And what if we want to watch ITV or C4? We have to pay for our TVs, REGARDLESS of whether you use them for actually watching stuff on. So i use my TV just for PS2, but i still have to pay to do so.Tyeforce said:You can watch it online on the BBC's website for free, anytime you want. But I'm not talking about TV, am I? It doesn't matter how you watch it, the point is that you can watch it, for free.Sanji said:And what if we want to watch ITV or C4? And I'm not stealing from you or your country at all. If anything, I'd be stealing from the BBC, but really I'm not, since the show is free for anyone to view, online at least. And I do support the BBC by buying the DVDs when they come out. I'm no thief, I'm no pirate. I just don't want to wait weeks to watch my favorite show just because the BBC hates their American Doctor Who fans.
1. Americans have to pay for TV, too, you know. >_>Sanji said:Wtf?Tyeforce said:But I'm not talking about TV, am I? 1. We cant use a TV unless we pay 'Tax' on it So we dont ACTUALLY watch it for free on the Wii.
2. You have to pay for internet, on top of the pc and everything so TECHNICALLY its not free.
:/
You mean those things that I block? Yeah, I've heard of them. Very annoying.Vaati227 said:the bbc DOES make an online profit though.
ever heard of ads?

2. You're right, the internet isn't free (unless you go to a free wi-fi hotspot, that is). But if you're going to use that excuse, then the same excuse can be used for people like me who download the episodes, because you can't download anything without internet access. But either way, that point is invalid, because even though you're paying for internet, you're not paying the BBC. The BBC makes no profit from people watching their shows online, just as they make no profit from people downloading their shows.
I don't know why you feel the need to defend your country whenever someone says anything bad about it. Yes, we know you're proud to be British, that's fine and good. But you don't have to flip out whenever someone says something about your country. Hell, I wasn't even saying anything bad about your country, just the BBC. The BBC doesn't represent your country. And neither do you, for that matter. You need to stop thinking that people are attacking your country when they're just calling out your faults, because they're not. Sanji, I do respect you sticking up for me, but you've got to understand... Sometimes you go overboard. You need to learn how to control what you say, especially when it can offend certain groups of people, or if it's just plain ignorant. I don't hate you, but, damn, you need to listen people here and stop being such an ass sometimes. No offense, I'm just trying to help you.
