Metal bench or wood bench...

Ah, I just saw your post in the Favorite Spot in Town thread. I think I'd go with the wood bench based on that picture, even if I slant ever so slightly in favor of the metal bench in general.

That's the same I've been thinking. I think the wood bench would suit my town more, because it's so simple, I don't know, it would just look better. But I just really like the metal bench, it's my favorite of all. But thank you for your opinion

Definitely a rough decision. Is there no possible compromise? Wood benches in regular areas, with metal ones next to the Event Plaza and/or Town Hall? I'm not sure where you're planning on places benches, but having the fancier one over by the important town features and the simple one in residential/secluded areas seems fairly cohesive. I do understand wanting just one kind of bench instead of all sorts of benches all over the place, though.

I have a little park area right in front of my town hall, I want a bench there in front of the fountain. Merry suggested the metal bench today, so I went to see how it would look like there. But I just couldn't make up my mind. I'm a perfectionist, that makes it even harder for me to decorate my town. I'm never satisfied
I googled the benches to see how they look like in other towns and I really like them both. It's indeed a tough decision. I'm planning on placing 2 'regular benches' in my town and a log bench near the campsite. So I prefer the same kind of bench. I haven't figured out a good spot for the other bench, though.

I really like them both, I have one of each in my town. Although if I had to pick only one, it'd be the metal bench, it's so classy looking ^_^ my favourite bench of all though is the log bench, it looks so cute and forest-y, but it doesn't suit every town (I put mine near ym campsite like you're planning).

Where I've dug the holes is where I want to place the bench. The Jacob's Ladders on the side are temporary replacements for the bushes I'm gonna plant there. Don't mind the area around the fountain though, it looks so plain. I haven't figured out what flowers I want to place there yet either.

I'm gonna say wood bench would look best but it's up
to you on what you want to have there.
I personally like the metal bench, so I'll start off a little biased. Even so, I think in those photos that the white bench would look better because the detail of the metal bench would be lost in the background a bit. But I'm not sure I'd like the white bench as much with snow on the ground or with a green grass background in the spring and summer. The metal bench might show off a bit better in the other seasons.
