Merry is kicking out a dreamie </3

I went to my campsite and just about had a heart attack when I saw it was Merry! She is second only to Rosie when it comes to my favorite peppy or cat and is one of my favorite villagers in the whole game. I honestly didn't think I would get her for a long time since she's randomly so much more popular in NH! I was pumped because Cyrano is in boxes today. After AGES of losing the card game over and over, I finally talked her into moving in and she decides to kick out Muffy instead of the villager who is literally already leaving

I'm being a little over dramatic since I do have Muffy's Amiibo card from back in the day, but still. She's a dreamie too and I was so close to getting her picture! I mostly just wanted to rant a little since I'm bugged that campers won't replace villagers who are already moving out haha.

This is a mechanic I don’t understand, why won’t they replace a villager who already is in boxes? Huge oversight on Nintendos part.

I agree! I didn't even know about it until just now since it seems like such a no-brainer to replace the villager in boxes.

But: If a camper want‘s to kick someone you don‘t want to leave you can exit the game and try again, they may suggest a different villager the next time, worked for me at least.
But I understand how much of a struggle it can be to win those card games, and having to do it all over again is a pain.

Be careful though if you decide to kick someone out. Having two villagers in boxes at the same time can produce a harmless bug, where one of the villagers who is about to move out will be perpetually in boxes. The only way to fix it is by having someone adopt the villager.

I know, thank goodness for that! I have too many dreamies on my island who I don't have amiibos for, unfortunately, so I didn't want to spend hours and hours fighting Merry haha.

Oh, I hadn't heard about that! I definitely have two in boxes now. I'll keep an eye on it! Luckily Muffy is at least somewhat popular, so I should hopefully be able to get her adopted if she gets stuck.
