I've had Julian a few times (reset my town a lot) and I honestly don't understand the hype over him. I'd choose Merengue because she's cute, pink, and she has a strawberry for a horn! <3

I visited him in a dream town before, and I now kind of think he's just a normal blue horse with a horn Dx
but he's still so sassy and fabulous hehe :3 but Merengue is so cuteeee

Seeing that you already have marshal, I think merengue is a better choice
I have both of them in my main town, and although Julian is awesome, and fab
Merengue is even more adorable and cute!!
Not only because of her catchphrase, but her house too!

However if you do want Julian I'll gladly notify you when he wants to move!

(Though I say take both of them since they're my otp)

Although I have one last piece of advice,
Normal villagers tend to be boring, and not very "exciting"
