*don't mind the ugliness of my town, I'm still building it + bad pictures, I'm getting too lazy to take proper ones*

So I'm one of those people who likes to control the house placement of villagers. I finally got precious Merengue and decided yesterday to begin resetting to try to place her next and aligned to Diana's house. And here I am today, still resetting and for the best, getting the field in the good axe, but too far away from 2-4 cases. I know that if you really want "that" special place, you have to be patient. But I got a place which I think is not that bad, but I don't know, really, I'm feeling a bit tired doing this trick, it definitely influences my mind.

/Asked advice from Julian, but he wasn't much help/

In the *crappy* picture (don't mind flowers and tree, I'll probably cut if off/put them away), her house is aligned with the front house of a villager, and they are seperate by a little pond. To the right, there is another house, which is almost aligned with the pond place. On the map you can see where it's placed, knowing my character faces the middle front of the house field for Merengue.

I hesitate to keep this place.

The front is maybe too near the water ?

The reason I want to put her house next to Diana's is because Zucker's house would be in the back just in the middle of those two + symetry to both sides, and I'd enjoy to make a little path from Zucker's house between them (+ the simple idea to have them next to each other, I don't know, I like it) >>

Should I keep trying for Diana side ?

Thanks for your help ~

The place she's in right now seems perfectly fine to me, I'd keep it if I was you.

I personally like her placement now, if you're tired you might load the mayor and get a really bad spot.... but I think where she is now very functional. I wish I could get my villagers in such a nice place lol.

I'd keep it there rather than risk it going to a bad spot. It looks great in my opinion.

If you're willing to keep trying and trying and be very careful not to start up as your mayor, I'd say go for next to Diana's. But where she is now is nice too. You'll always pass her house when you're on your way to the Town Square. :)

I think it looks nice there! Plot resetting can become so frustrating after a while so you might want to take this oportunity to finaly get some peace!

Second one looks great, you will for sure have a path run down from the bridge, it directs you go right pass mereguen.

Haha, yes, this basically ^^^

Thank you all for your opinion ! After a long reflection, I'm going to keep this spot then. I usually have the patience to reset again and again, but this time luck isn't by my side, I think I should probably just let it go q:
One of my villager will move out, a peppy one, so I'm thinking about seeking for another one or an uchi and give it a try next Diana when time comes, I guess it's a good match too, and the best compromise I have in mind.

It looks good! Man, I'm jealous. I'm far too lazy to plot reset. I just sort of pray they won't do anything horrible and TT to the next day. Julian placed his house in a great spot, but Diana... not so much.

Indeed, it's a big fortune wheel when it comes to houses spot err. It occured with Wendy, straight in the middle of a path. For now Julian and Muffy are the only one I didn't have the chance to "place", as they moved in randomly, but they got good spots I think (though I wanted to build my caf? at Muffy's place),so I was lucky with them. Ankha took 2 reloads to get the spot I wanted for her, she was aligned and between two houses, it was nice ~
I don't have much patience, but I don't want to feel bad about my town and feeling the urge to restart all because of bad random luck either, so a choice has to be made q:
I wasn't sure that houses in my town were merely good spots, I'm glad/relieved to see that it's nice-
