I didn't gift her any clothes or creatures or change her catchphrase, however I did gift her iron wall lamps (to get her photo) which caused 3 table top items to disappear. Her house is missing the pink stand mixer / red tea pot / pink portable radio but if you gift them they should reappear back in the right place, everything else is how it should look.
