Megaphone

Yeah, sometimes I have to run around the whole town to find her, wastes so much time. :( When I do find her, I usually push her to a more convenient location and trap her with holes, keeps her from running around lol.

I use it from time to time, if I can't find one of my villagers. Usually it stays in my closet.

Does anyone know how to correctly pronounce Chevre? I can never do it right...

It's "chef" in French they won't pronounce the "re" (if I heard it right). Try shouting Jeffrey, Jeff or Chad.

I believe it's pronounced 'shef-ruh'

The 're' is there I think, it's just lost in accent. I also thought it was 'shauv'.
I'm not too confident on French though tbh, I find it a disgusting sounding language and never payed attention in school.

It's pretty much phonetic. It's the french word for goat. From what I can tell from this forum, the game either has issues with accents or isn't programmed with the right pronunciations of some words.

I only use the megaphone for when I'm resetting for Saharah exclusives, its actually pretty annoying since I don't like yelling at my DS I usually mumble or talk quietly and end up repeating her name 5 times before she replies...

I only use it to find Saharah for my 3 extra characters. They are only coming out of their houses to try and get some special wall/floor from Saharah and I hate having them run all over town, just to find her hiding behind their own house.

I leave my megaphone on the ground outside of my house. When I search and search for an animal with no luck, I'll go grab it. Usually it works very well (Correctly calling Vladamir twice even in a car with lots of background noise), and sometimes it doesn't work at all. (No matter how many times I called Eunice, it never recognized her name.) It probably works a lot better for some voices than others, as well. This is probably why we have megaphone supporters as well as those who can never get the megaphone to cooperate.

Half the time I try to use my megaphone, it just won't register that I'm speaking at all. I don't know who or what's to blame - me or the microphone.

Depends. It should be "shevr," with the "r" pronounced in the back of your mouth, but the best English approximation would have to be "shev" - just one syllable, no r's involved at all.

I've tried to use it many times before, but each time I have tried to call one villager either someone else answers or it says they might not be outside when they're literally right there on the screen. So I hardly ever use it for anything anymore :/

I find the megaphone useful; the villagers don't always respond to me correctly, but it saves a lot of time searching.

(Mainly because my town is 80% dense forest, and I wouldn't otherwise know where to start looking.)

I love the megaphone! I honestly find it helpful. Maybe 20% of the time I get a wrong response, but if you experiment with how loudly/clearly you're speaking and how far away from the DS your face is, you can see what works better.

I use it every time I TT to make a certain villager move out. Also gotta make sure none of my dreamies move out.Too lazy to run around and play tag trying to find them all.

i use it when trying to get a ping from a villager when using the PWP swimming trick. i call the villagers name and i think that increases chance of getting a ping. or at the very least makes it easier to find someone i want a request from.

I have no issues with it and it does come in handy for time when I cant find a villager or I need to find katie in order to bring her to another town. Or if my villagers are talking about phineas being in town I call him so I can find him faster. Have the odd issue with the wrong person answering but usually works great for me.
