Yeah, villagers do that. I've sold the harpsichord to three different villagers at Re-Tail in the last month because they keep giving it back to me, and if someone decides to buy it again in the next three days it'll be four different villlagers. When I first started playing I had a similar experience with a tea set, which I ended up selling to Reese just to get rid of it. Guess what Bettina gave me as a favour that same week?

something I really dislike in acnl is that the villagers never really eat the fruits I send them (through mail). they reply with something like "tasty" and "delicious" but later they give them back to me in a way or another

Me and Deidre sent the same peach back and forth for ages. I'd send it to her in a letter, next time I spoke to her she'd tell me she was selling it cheap or wanted me to have it (or occasionally lied and told me she bought it on sale??), and I'd always put it straight back in a letter and send it back to her.

I've done that same thing to my villagers, maybe I'm a jerk too haha XD I definitely bought one of Portia's items from Retail and mailed it right back to her because it looked good in her house. It's hardly my fault that my villagers have terrible decorating sense...

I had a paper tiger that made it to EVERY villager in my town! Also, a picnic table. It was hilarious! One would buy it, sell it, buy it again and they kept passing it amongst each other via the Retail. Everytime it showed up again, I laughed.
