I've been playing the game with my 3-year-old son for a little bit each day (and quite a lot once he's in bed too, of course!) - he loves to watch me catch fish, chat to villagers and explore the museum - his favourite thing is to wake up Blathers!
We had our ten villagers, but then I made the mistake of mentioning to him that there are octopus villagers in the game, not thinking that as he's obsessed with sea creatures, he'd instantly set his heart on having one living in our village.
After a few days of bugging me about it, I showed him pictures of them all and he decided Octavian was the one. When I explained that someone would have to leave, he instantly replied with 'Marshal', and he hasn't changed his answer each time I've checked with him since. The cute little squirrel with the attitude wouldn't have been my first choice to swap out, but never mind!
Anyway, I've managed to get hold of Octavian's amiibo and have invited him to our island, meaning Marshal is in boxes today.
I've been reading The Bell Tree forum since the game came out and have learned so many things and picked up so many great tips from you all, so I thought I should create an account and offer Marshal on here so that somebody who wants him can enjoy having him on their island. I've not given him any clothes or changed his catchphrase etc, but I did give him some furniture at some point.
I'm open to offers of in-game bells and NMTs (need bells more than tickets, to be honest), and if anyone can offer the iron garden chair and iron garden bench DIYs too, that'd be awesome! Please make sure you can take him today - I don't time travel, so can't hold him any longer.
I'm working from home, so probably won't be able to respond to any offers immediately, but will check in when I can today (I'm in the UK). Please keep any offers on here rather than DMs.
