Q U E S T I O N S

*If you answer a question, please put the number of the queston, or quote that question, so I know what you're answering. I have a lot of questions T-T I posted a thread before this and now I have more(:

[[01.] What exactly is a Spotlight Item and how can I tell what the spot light items are?

[02.] I read that if a Villager asks you for "Furniture/Fruit/Bug/Fish" if you give them a rare item that they asked for, you have a higher chance of getting their picture. Is that true? I know the Perfect Fruit from a different town, Rare Bug/Fish work...
- Is there a list of Rare Furniture I can look at, if so?

[03.] What is the point of Silver/Gold Tools exactly? I mean I know the Silver/Gold Watering Can, waters more plots at once. The Silver/Gold Slingshot, shoots 2/3 stones instead of one. Gold Axe has a higher chance of "special stumps". Is there any great significance to having these tools?

*[04.] Perfect Town; does anyone know the exact requirements? For example, how many PWP (type), how many flowers/trees, if you need 10 villagers or will 9 work.
- This was [15.] in my last post (no one answered) ...

[05.] Does catching a Flea on a Villager mean I am actually hitting them with a net? Does it increase friendship?

[06.] Is there a way that I can check the Friendship Level I have with a Villager? I tried that megaphone thing, to Zucker, either I don't say his name properly, or we aren't friends, but he just gave me his picture.

[07.] A Villager in my town told me that you can customize certain furniture with ores. I know you can make Golden Furniture with 3 gold ores and 10,000 bells.
- Is there a list of the furniture that can be customized with ores and which ores they can be customized with, if so?

[08.] Can only certain Personality Villagers request specific PWP?
- If so which Personalities to which PWP?

[09.] Are there specific times that certain villagers can "RANDOMLY VISIT" your home or does it literally happen at random?

[10.] What are thing that Negatively affect friendship level with Villagers? Does it make them move out faster?

[11.] Katie? I just don't understand.

[12.] Can I use Sahara if she is in another town? Like can I bring her back to my town?(:

[13.] When a Villager offers to sell you an Art Piece, how can you tell if it's authentic or fake? Is it better to just decline?

[14.] What is the point of a Gyroid? Are they used for something?

[15.] Bamboo Shoots how closely together can I plant them?(: I want to make a forest, I saw a guide that said I can plant them "right next to each other" but I am afraid to waste them, and they die... T-T

[16.] How can I change a Villager's clothes? I liked the original outfit, or whatever they had on before. Now they are wearing the "Tin Shirt", like what the eff. How come they randomly changed clothes?

[17.] When I visit other people's towns, I see some have Pathways. How do I get that? Is it like a PWP or something? >___< I want pathways too...

Thank you for taking the time to answer all my questions, I am a bit Noobie. LOL(: Created my town in the last week of May 2015.

[[01.] What exactly is a Spotlight Item and how can I tell what the spot light items are?

If you read the message board it will tell you what the spotlight item is for that day (but it's not every day). I think this only starts when you've upgraded the nook store to T.I.Y. It's just a rare piece of furniture.

[02.] I read that if a Villager asks you for "Furniture/Fruit/Bug/Fish" if you give them a rare item that they asked for, you have a higher chance of getting their picture. Is that true?

I think giving them better items raises their friendship more so this would make sense. Not sure how furniture works but I've done this with fruit and fish/bugs.

[03.] What is the point of Silver/Gold Tools exactly?

The gold axe never breaks, and the silver one gives special stumps. The better fishing rods and nets can catch things from a longer range. The silver shovel lets you sometimes get ore from money rocks, and the gold one can be used to plant bell trees.

*[04.] Perfect Town; does anyone know the exact requirements? For example, how many PWP (type), how many flowers/trees, if you need 10 villagers or will 9 work.

This is the best guide I found

[05.] Does catching a Flea on a Villager mean I am actually hitting them with a net? Does it increase friendship?

You hit them with the net but they're happy about it.

[06.] Is there a way that I can check the Friendship Level I have with a Villager? I tried that megaphone thing, to Zucker, either I don't say his name properly, or we aren't friends, but he just gave me his picture.

When they give you their pic, send you presents in the mail, or randomly drop by your house they have high friendship.

[07.] A Villager in my town told me that you can customize certain furniture with ores. I know you can make Golden Furniture with 3 gold ores and 10,000 bells.

You can change, for example, green furniture with an emerald etc. The lists you're looking for can be found on this tumblr: http://customnewleaf.tumblr.com

[08.] Can only certain Personality Villagers request specific PWP?

Yep. http://animalcrossing.wikia.com/wiki/Public_Works_Projects

[09.] Are there specific times that certain villagers can "RANDOMLY VISIT" your home or does it literally happen at random?

I think just random.

[10.] What are thing that Negatively affect friendship level with Villagers? Does it make them move out faster?

Saying no to requests, ignoring them, insulting them, hitting them. Doesn't affect moving though.

[11.] Katie? I just don't understand.

She might show up in your town, and if you take her to another town she'll mail you an item.

[12.] Can I use Sahara if she is in another town? Like can I bring her back to my town?(:

No clue actually.

[13.] When a Villager offers to sell you an Art Piece, how can you tell if it's authentic or fake? Is it better to just decline?

No way to tell. In my experience it's about 50/50

[14.] What is the point of a Gyroid? Are they used for something?

Just decorative. The Brewster ones are cute :)

[15.] Bamboo Shoots how closely together can I plant them?(: I want to make a forest, I saw a guide that said I can plant them "right next to each other" but I am afraid to waste them, and they die... T-T

They can't be planted directly adjacent, but don't worry about them dying they spread like wildfire.

[16.] How can I change a Villager's clothes? I liked the original outfit, or whatever they had on before. Now they are wearing the "Tin Shirt", like what the eff. How come they randomly changed clothes?

Send them new clothes in the mail!

[17.] When I visit other people's towns, I see some have Pathways. How do I get that? Is it like a PWP or something? >___< I want pathways too...

Those are qr codes. You need to unlock the special machine in the Able sisters' shop by talking to Sable (the hedgehog that's always working) every day for a while. Then you can scan codes and lay them on the ground (they're saved in the same place as pro designs).

Let me know if you need more info!

1. A spotlight item is a somewhat rarer item sold at the T&T store at I think Super T&T and up. You know what it is because a bulletin notice will be posted telling you and Timmy or Tommy will tell you when you walk up to it in the store.

2.Yes, giving them rarer items increases their friendship faster, resulting in getting their pic faster.

3. All the silver and gold tools have advantages over the regular ones. The silver axes lasts four times longer and always will leave a special pattern, the gold never breaks and will usually leave a special pattern. Silver and gold nets are longer and will reach farther. Silver and gold rods reach farther and the fish are on the line longer, giving you more time to press A. Silver and gold cans water more spaces. Silver shovel allows a small chance of getting gems out of the money rock, and the gold lets you plant money trees and increases the effects of fertilizer.
And they're all shiny too, so that's a plus.

4. In ACNL, the requirements are less strict than other games. I know it doesn't matter the amount of greenery in each acre, just in general. I don't know the exact amounts but just have lots of greenery and no items on the ground, I don't think villager amounts matter. You must have at least 10 PWPs but it depends what they are, like if you have a bunch of garbage cans and drilling rigs you aren't gonna get perfect status. But stuff like the solar panel and plant stuff will help.

5. Yes, you hit them with the net to catch the flea. It will likely increase their friendship because you are helping them out by getting rid of the flea.

6. You can't check the exact friendship level, but there's a couple ways I know:

1:Megaphone method
2: If you catch them on a bench and there's room for you, sit with them. If they make a gleeful face and smile, your friendship is high.
3: They may give you rarer and spotlight items. If you get a rococo piece from a villager, your friendship is likely high. Their friendship is pretty much max if they give you their pic.
4: They ask to move a lot.

7.I know of a tumblr called customnewleaf that has all the furniture that can be customized.

8. There are certain PWP's that can only be requested by certain personalities. I've seen lists floating around, but unfortunately I can't link you to one right now.

9. Both can happen. A villager could just bring up visiting your house during a conversation and you arrange a time (or go right then). They can also barge in unexpectedly while you're home; this is another sign your friendship is high.

10. Things that lower friendship:
-Pushing
-hitting with nets
-Refusing to do errands, or accepting and never doing them
-opening packages and time capsules when told not to
Being mean to a villager is said to make them want to stay more, but I personally don't care, I enjoy beating up unworthy villagers >:)

11.Katie can sometimes be found wandering in your town after you wifi with someone. She will want to be taken to someone else's town. If you do she will send a present the next day and will show up in the other persons town three days later. Sometimes Katie will lose her ticket and not be able to go, but she will still send a gift saying she was able to catch the next train.

12.No, unfortunately. You can only use Sahara in your own town.

13.There is no way to tell. I say only buy it if it is under 4,000 bells, around the price Redd usually sells them for.

14. Gyroids are simply used for decoration. Lloid is in charge of collecting money for PWP's.

15.Bamboo shoots are just like trees, they must be one space apart. Be warned, they spread like wildfire. Be sure to dig them up when they bloom in spots you don't want, or put down paths (explained below)

16. Villagers change clothes whenever they have a conversation with another villager and you don't eavesdrop. They can also get catchphrases from other villagers. Villagers can also get clothes via delivery from other villagers. Sometimes they will ask how the clothes look and if you say no, they will change into what they had before.
To get a villager to change clothes, send them at least 3 letters with clothing attached. They could be the same if you want them to wear a specific piece of clothing, or different if you don't care what they wear you just want them out of the ugly clothes their in. You want to send more than one because the will sometimes display clothes in their home. If you send them more than one, it increases the chances if the villager wearing it.

17. Paths are not PWPs. You can make them yourself! You know that little tab where you make designs? You can make a design and use it as a path. I believe when you selecta design there's an option that says something like place on ground? You can place several designs in a row to spread like a path throughout your town! If your artistic skills aren't that great, you can scan designs to use as paths using the QR code machine, which you unlock by taking to Sable, the shy hedgehog at the back of Able's, every day for ten days.

I hope this advice helps. It's ok to be a noob :)
