I hate Mac so much and he FINALLY pinged me after 5 months of living in my town; but then I removed the sd card and the game crashed. Will he still move?

Yeah, I think so. He'll most likely ping you again next time you play. Make sure he's moving though. If he's not, reset and repeat.
