Lucky is camping. Help

I have a huge issue.
I really want lucky to move in from my campsite, but Violet has a plot of land fenced out.
I have Eight villagers completely moved in, so I could take both.
I created a new character, so my town hasn't saved yet.

If I go ahead and save, with Violet's plot there, will Lucky still be able to be recruited from the campsite, or will it not work at all?

Will Lucky be able to move in though?
If he can that's a relief, if not I'd rather not have Violet's house where it is.

I'm pretty sure Lucky will be able to move in. Not completely positive though, so I would wait for some other people to comment or google it before doing anything else.

From my knowledge, Lucky would still be able to move in. The only way he wouldn't would be if you'd quit without saving.
