Nintendo Japan has stated the Inkling Mii Costumes and Miiverse stage will also be available that day

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAS!

This is awesome news :'D

I'm still a little disappointed with the way Nintendo is going about DLC. I think it should all be free, really. It's not that I think it's wrong to support the creators, but you never had to buy additional content in the past. I think buying the game should be enough. It just feels pressuring, especially with the time limit they had for Mewtwo, which they'll most likely have for all the DLC content sometime in the future. It's the same with the ambiio (I'm not sure if it needs capitalised or not). People always strive to get the super rare ones, and Nintedo are making a big profit out of encouraging that kind of behaviour, and I just don't think it's right. It's a good marketing strategy, but morally, I don't think it's very fair on the other players. That being said, Lucas looks fabulous.

They released 16 tracks for Mario Kart 8 for $12, which is practically a 1/6 of the price for the full game and 50% more content. Just because you paid for the game doesn't mean you don't have to pay for new things that literally double the size of the game. Would you rather wait and pay $60 for Mario Kart 9 instead?

I just miss the days where you could play a game and just play the game. It was less stressful, you know? There was less to worry about getting. It's not like you have to get it, of course, but you know what I mean.

No, I don't.

In what way does adding more (great) content make a game worse by making it more stressful?

You can still buy mewtwo, no? I feel like people should always be payed for their work. Same with mods, but that is a discussion for another day. Mewtwo was created after the release of both games and those people need to be payed for their work. Asking the company to pay out of their pocket to make this character and to just give it to people, I just can't really agree or see why that would be okay.

When it comes to amiibo's, I don't think its fair to charge for it. All of the "DLC" that are unlocked by amiibos are litterally already on the disk. You are paying for things that were made during the development time of your game. A lot of these amiibo games are starting to lock off content behind of paywall. Capcom did the same thing back then and got hammered for it. EA did the same thing and got hammered for it. Why is it okay if nintendo pulls it.

Amiibo's are also being sold out very quickly, because nintendo doesn't keep them in production for very long. So let's say that you could only get lucas if you purchased the amiibo, what if you bought into the game much later down the line and the only way to get lucas is to buy the amiibo from some person off ebay for 40+ munnies. At least with capcoms on disk dlc, at least I know I can get the thing for a consistent price. Oh and with amiibos being on disk dlc, for a complete game, you are probably going to be spending an extra 20 bucks to actually have a complete game.
This is really just screwing us consumers over and while a lot of people say that they just buy it for collectors or w.e, what about the people that don't give a crap about the shoddily made plastic models. This is only catering to that demographic and it's kind of screwing over the people who just wanted the game. If they are going to do stuff like this, at least sell the content on digital as well so that we can all get it.

Last thing, if people want change, they have to stop buying the product. That's when companies will stop and get the picture. Unfortunately, they don't look at the people discussing or arguing on forums. They look at the sales and if they can get away with something that is egregious, then you bet your monkey butts that they probably will do it.

I didn't say it made worse. Never mind.

I understand. I just feel like things are changing and maybe it's just me finding it hard to move along with what Nintendo are doing. I remember, when I was younger, playing carelessly on my GameCube, with no such thing as a Miiverse, a Nintendo Network ID, or even DLC. Things are just changing so quickly and I'm finding it a little uncomfortable. I'll get used to it, though.

IMO, that still doesn't make the DLC worth it. I still think the Mk8 DLC is a rip off.

I didnt have to buy Mewtwo but I obviously have to buy Lucas now, I will but I do think $5 for both versions of a character is a bit overpriced. I think at most, a character on both version is worth $2, not $5.
