So recently I lost my DS and then got sick, got really bad vertigo and haven't been up to do much of anything, and that was right as I was getting on top of my towns and getting close to completing my dreamie lists!

Now it's been a bit since I've played, maybe almost a month or something idek, and I've been too scared to go back and check my towns because I don't want to lose all my work, and I also don't have the effort to tt back and fourth to make sure I don't lose them so I'm just stuck here not playing cause I am too chicken to accept the inevitable. =[

I need some help and encouragement to get back into it after my hiatus. >.<

When was the last time you played? TT back to that day, I guarantee nothing will happen.

Your villagers are probably really sad and miss you, plus ACNL is fun once you get into it again

ACNL really is one of those games you adore once you get playing again, all your plans and projects seem so exciting again. Hope you feel better generally.

Roll with the punches. I lost Paula two days ago and may never get her back in my town but I'll sure be on the look out for her in the next AC.

I was on NL hiatus from September to May, but I'm pushing myself to TT forward from then to the current date, and it's actually been really fun. I skipped Halloween and Toy Day, but I did play the Festivale and Bunny Day for hours and then sold some stuff. Currently my town is at the end of April.

I was TTing every week at first, but that made me lose some villagers, so I'm doing it every 3 days, and then day-by-day at times when villagers are moving in/out, or one is sick and needs meds. It's going pretty well, and though my town would've progressed more if I went by every single day (I don't have the Emporium yet), that means the fun of playing lasts a little longer. :)

Granted, you're only behind a month or so while I was out for almost a whole school year. But hey, just working on the town all slow-paced and stuff is still relaxing, even when it's not on the current time and date. It'll also take you less time than it's taking me.
I'm not going to say you won't be disappointed when you re-open the game, but it's probs not as bad as you think. Whatever villagers you do lose, if any, can be replaced. Weed pulling shouldn't take too much time, and you can make your town presentable again given a week or two.

Honestly, I lost interest in ACNL for awhile and then lost my 3ds +games (they were in a bag together) for a few months. Now that I haven't played for awhile, I'm having a ton of fun again even though I did lose some favorite villagers (woah Oliy, you're helpful.)
If you couldn't get someone back (if you TT), there is always time to fix everything. Hey, you might even have fun getting a villager back! Sure, you'll have to work for them but not all work is as boring as they sound.

If it matters, I believe in you. If you need help with anything with your town, feel free to message me.
I hope you'll be able to "Cross Animals" once again and have fun.
Lastly, I hope you're feeling a ton better now when it come to your health.

I honestly feel the same way as everyone here ! I stopped playing because I lost interest in it for like a year, and then when I wanted to start playing I was afraid that my villagers had moved so I procrastinated even more LOL.

but I've been having so much fun gettin back into it again ! and I didn't lose any villagers either :P I guess I was lucky !
I'm even having fun laying paths down in my town again.

idk I would def start it up again ! you forget how much fun it is to interact with your lil villagers haha.

I don't know if this helps but I wrote a guide on how to avoid losing villagers. It requires TTing but not a lot of it, so it's not so bad: http://www.belltreeforums.com/showt...ot-Lose-Villagers-When-You-re-Away&highlight=

I know what you mean, though. I've stopped playing ACNL and haven't in a few months because I just feel so bored with the game. I think it's normal since it's a fairly repetitive game, even when you can make everything custom to you, the mechanics don't vary much. Just take your time getting back into ACNL.

I lost my ACNL cartridge and I really loved my town, I believe I was only 3 villagers short of my dreamies...now I'm starting all over again after getting a brand new ACNL cartridge.

When I first started playing again, I played it once and got bored and it just sat there for a month. I recently picked it up again since its summer and I've been playing everyday! I'm back on it and it's fun now, and I think I like my new town than my old, it has a lot more potential.

I agree with the others, if you just keep playing it, it will get interesting again =)

I stopped playing because I was too busy with school and the thought of playing just gave me anxiety for some reason (there was just too much I wanted to accomplish) but I have started again this summer with short term goals and I am loving it again and am newly addicted!
