Let me guess, it's a 018-0511 error..
I checked on it earlier and it only happens with AC:NL for no real reason, and all Nintendo suggests refreshing your router or use Google DNS.
I know I can't do that atm either, I don't think this trade can be done right now or there has to be a 3rd person for this trade.
