Looking for non-cottagecore/fairycore inspiration

Don’t get me wrong. I love that look, and follow several people that have that look, but it’s not my look. I do get inspiration from them, but I’m looking for more “normal”
islands that have good ideas. Who do you recommend? YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, whatever.

RyanFTW is currently doing a youtube series where he’s rebuilding his entire island- there’s episodes before hand too where you can see what his island looked like before he tore it down.
i don’t think it’s really cottage core-y from what i’ve seen. at least it wouldn’t count as cottage core/fairy core in my opinion.
it has a more natural look, but not farm-ish or fantasy. plus he does all his builds in real time in the episodes so you can see a little of his thought processes!

My island doesn't have a theme to tie it all in together but my villagers are separated into their own neighborhoods (broadwalk, rich, and Zen that doesn't have anything yet but that's what it will be) that are very different from each other with some natural areas in progress of you want to see it.

I'm going for a playable island with maybe some heavily decorated areas

I recently visited a cute island that was supposed to be like the Japanese countryside! It was really unique imo and probably one of my favorites that I've visited. The dream address is DA-3674-4275-5333 and I found it on Twitter by @deebadooac!

The Youtube Tour thread has quite a few islands that aren't cottagecore. Also, while I'm not sure if you're into islands with an urban style, I'd highly suggest checking pixel artist @midio's amazing city island!
