Lately I've been getting repeats of fossils I've already donated to the museum without any signs of the ones I'm missing showing up; the same goes for two Santa items in particular.

Sure, I'm willing to. Could Blathers still verify paintings after they were already donated? I know he could in the past games, though I can't recall in this one. I'll bring it over to your town so you can check it out.

Edit: The wikia and some other sites say a fake Fine Painting doesn't exist, so it should be good.
