I was thinking of restarting my town in a few months, on my half-birthday. I'll be appraising my town to Tom Nook so I can get a head start in wealth once I restart. First of all, what is a good way to make your town gain in worth until that happens? And secondly, I want to make my new town themed. I'm thinking of theming it after the color blue (maybe with some purple/green mixed in). What name would a town like that have? Is the color blue even a good idea?

There are so many possibilities with the color blue. I’ve done two completely different blue houses and I’ve had so much fun.

These are the main things which are known to increase town value:
- Bells deposited in your bank accounts (bells on your players don't count)
- The costs of Public Works Projects you've completed
- Medals your characters have earned from Phineas
- House sizes of your characters
Some other stuff like the amounts of flowers and weeds could change the value but there isn't really any solid evidence.
Tom Nook also gives you the option to sell your catalog - the value of it depends on how many items you've obtained.
Finally, you can either take the money as a lump sum, or installments. If you choose the lump sum, you get all the money at once. If you choose the installments, you'll get the money over 100 days with 10% interest - this will give you some extra bells.
