Let's talk about having ONE 3x3 space that is the only place you will allow your newly acquired darling to live.

Let's talk about finding a plot in the same place, a wrong place, for seven resets in a row.

Let's talk about how you didn't even realize until now that there WERE so many places a house could fit in your town.

Let's talk about the moment when you've been at it for a couple hours and the plot surfaces SO CLOSE to your chosen spot, but way too far away from it for you to settle:

And let's talk about the inevitable rage I will feel when he doesn't plot even that close again for another six hours.

i feel your pain! I just plot reset portia a few days ago and she kept going to the exact same spot (literally like two steps away from walker's house) and I wanted to rip my hair out. I've heard that fully turning off your ds and turning it back on helps change it up if they've been plotting in the same place, though. good luck D:

I only have one dreamie right now and she's in an okay place for now. But I have felt the rage. I have felt the outstanding sadness. I wish you luck.

I plot reset Julian last night for about 5 hours until he plotted in the perfect spot which isn't that bad actually. I think the longest I plot resetted a villager was 2 days.

I always give up and just work around villagers, but I have to plot reset today so wish me luck

Thanks for the tea and sympathy!

I don't think I can do this for two days straight x.x This is the longest in actual time I've ever spent plot resetting, but then again, I've been taking breaks and doing other stuff in between. I'm not compromising on his position though so I just might be at it that long.

I totally feel you on that. Reminds me of when I had to plot Poppy. I had 4 possible locations for her, near the cliff behind Goldie or Mitzi's houses being the most desired. Well see what happened below...

1-2 spaces off, 4 times. And to add insult to injury, these were all taken on the same day!

By the time she finally did plot where I wanted, it has been a solid week. Hands down the longest time I've ever attempted plotting a villager. >.<

D: Oh nooooo. Usually when a villager is that close I just give up and let them stay there. But I can't do that with Lucky this time, I need him perfectly aligned with Kiki's house or the whole area will be awful. I'm glad you got her in the end!

If you're going for one exact spot, then it's a good idea to plan beforehand and put a ton of fountains and other PWPs in your town to limit where villagers can plot.

hgg i totally feel your pain right now
i was resetting for willow for about 8 hours yesterday, and just gave up and went to sleep. i just picked it up again for a second attempt today, so wish me luck!!

80% of the time she puts her house right next to my train station, it's so defeating spending all that time making a character and then walking 2 spaces and seeing the house right there...
she's gotten a few spaces off of exactly where i want her about 10 times. i'm starting to wonder if its even possible for her to line her house up with bruce, or if it'll just never happen.

i'm too stubborn to give up!!
(that might be a bad thing though)

@Red Cat: That was what I was going to spend today doing, placing PWPs/paying them off/TT'ing until I had my town plot locked. I didn't expect I would find Lucky so quickly once I posted for him, I figured it would take a week at least. I got lucky (heh) and was able to pick him up this morning, but it looks like now I'll have to start spending this week plot resetting him anyway.

Starlight: Good luck! I'll be here, to commiserate with you about the agony of plot resetting.

i feel this kind of frustration when a Pokemon keeps using Cosmic Power and Recover... (IM LOOKING AT YOU CHINGLING) i almost wanted to shut my DS down without saving my game i felt that angry.... and i always save

OMG I hear you. I'd forgotten how difficult the first parts of Pokemon Blue was if you choose Charmander as a starter, and I lost my first two battles against the rival AND lost the gym trainer battles twice. I was blowing steam.

I don't really plot reset because it takes a long time to get the game started and make a new player and finding a good spot for the villager. Most of the time I move my flowers so the villager don't mess them up or put the flowers next to the river. If making a new player was faster maybe I'll think about plot resetting.

I just started plot resetting after having so many villagers move into really bad spots on from of buildings, bridges & my house. I don't go crazy with it, so it usually only takes me a few tries to get them into a spot I'm ok with. Their houses still look pretty random - there's no way I have the patience to line them up or have them move into one exact spot

After I get all my dreamies in Rosebud, NO MORE PLOT RESETTING FOR ME. I have grown to hate it so much and am just playing naturally in Stitches because I'm fed up with plot resetting for weeks then having to settle.
