Layout of Villager and Avatar Icons on Map

Hey, you know about the list of villager and avatar icons next to your town map on your map app? Right now I have five avatars and ten villagers, making the icon list consist of 3 columns of 5. Out of curiosity, if I were to have the max number of avatars and villagers (18), then would the list be even with all of its columns and rows (such as having 3 rows of 6)? It's just a little minor thing that my OCD would want, that's all.

I think so because I found this map on another thread of someone with 7 players and it looks like this. There's one space left where an 8th player should go and then it will be even columns

This bothered me as well. I found I wanted more than 2 playable characters, but less than 5. If you want it all align evenly with the characters and villagers you need either the maximum 8 playable characters, 5 (which is what I needed up with), or minimum 2. The other options I believe are uneven.
