Large Star Fragment vs Zodiac Star Fragment

Hi all, just wanting to double check that I'm not doing something wrong.

I have had two meteor shower since playing and have amassed quite a few star fragments. In those, I have managed to gain 3 Aries Star Fragments, but 0 Large Star Fragments. Some article I read online indicated that the Large Fragments are possibly more common than the Zodiac ones, and so I'm wanting to make sure I'm not doing something wrong as I've not managed to get one yet.

I'm desperately wanting to start making use of some of the 'cosmic' items and any help with understanding why I'm not getting any (if it's more than just chance) would be great!

I think it's just random, I mean you just press A when you see a star there's not much more to do
Also keep checking your beach, star fragments will spawn in 2-3 times (or maybe more).

its random, i've visited many towns with meteor showers and have over 100 star frags but only 2 large star fragments. I dont even have that many aries fragments either.

I have 5 Aries fragments and 0 large star fragments. I'd say it's random, but in my experience it has a slight bias toward the zodiac ones.
