Landscaping ideas for a Japanese forest town

Right now I have a town called Katami, it's supposed to be themed like a Japanese forest, but Im not sure what kind of flowers to use. I was thinking white carnations scattered through the town and more colorful flowers around houses. But I also need help with trees and whether or not I should use a path or just line a path with flowers.

I, for one, like a flower-lined dirtpath, maybe with some clovers mixed in, but that's just me. I also feel like Lilies would make a good complement to the carnations, but also have a very forest-y feel.

I have lots of lilies, what color do you think would work best?

I think it depends. If you want to keep it very simple, then white. A bit more color, maybe yellow or pink, depending on the degree of "cute" in the idea. Red sort of starts to evoke that Japanese Flag/kabuki make-up colorscheme, orange is just pretty, and black is very dramatic, I think.

I think I'll either use white or yellow to go with my carnations and jacob's ladders. I'll put the more colorful ones around houses.

I only have a few so I've been decorating villager houses and around my train station with them. They fit well with my theme, I just wish they were easier to get x3

I started bamboo spots in my first town, it doesn't really fit theme there but it is gorgeous plus you get new starts growing every two days and can make major money if have time to dig them up as you don't want the town overrun with them.. But as an example I out my Brewsters in an upper right hand smaller corner the kind most people don't like in the upper crust top section not much space until I had des a bridge from it to the larger lower section..I out a zen bench outside of Brewsters and in front of that a zen garden surrounded by flowers and in that right side corner some trees and bushes, and some bamboo shoots, but still fit a zen clock and another bench over there and a bridge that just opened it up..my villagers have changed quite a bit but if you want to see what it looks like the DA is 4800-2875-5876. Ok I just updated the DA so you can see it if you want.

Other suggestions would be upgrades to the zen style town hall I know the station is harder to get, mix it up you can use non zen together with it in a good way things like the log bench, hotspring, and other things can go great, I also have a forest town this one was meant to be at first more fairy tale but is evolving it is the only one I did bamboo in though as if you tt a lot it can be tedious to keep after but just in case you want to see that section, aside some villager changes this town is my only and original complete town from a PWP and geographical point so it has been completed a long time..I just decided to go back and make it my wolf town but ignore who is there and take a look at the landscape if you'd like.
