You can just set the date to be one day behind.

If you change the day or set it to 6am (or earlier in the day) knox will be gone. Change the time earlier as long as you don't go above 6am.

As long as you don't load up your town he won't leave. So basically when its tomorrow just change the date back to today's date and Knox will still be there.
